He's baaack

I know you all are probably sick of hearing about this guy but trust me I am more sick of seeing him. Plus I need to inform the world of the creepiness...

In case you haven't caught on I am talking about the UPS guy again. (See below for the whole story on him up till now). He came by 2 days ago to drop off a package. I wasn't expecting anything (Jeff had bought something) so I was very surprised that he was at my door. He knocked...and waited...and knocked again...and waited all the while Thomas and I were hiding in my room playing the quiet game. I waited until it was safe (30 minutes later) to get my package off my doorstep. But OH NO! Of course he didn't leave the package. He left one of those stickers saying that there was a signature required and he'd be back tomorrow. LUCKY ME!

The next day I was also expecting my new double stroller (which btw I am soooo excited about). So I prepared myself for his arrival by shutting the blinds and laying low until I knew it was safe to leave my house without accidentally running into him. After talking to a close friend, and very good advice giver, I realized that I have become a prisoner in my own home and that I should do something about this. I have ALWAYS been a huge believer in following your gut instinct and luckily I have the spirit to help me as well. So why wasn't I doing that now? She pointed out that humans are the only creatures that question their instincts. In the wild, if an animal gets a sense of danger they don't sniff around to be absolutely sure that they are going to be eaten. They just run! So after a lot of thought I called UPS and told them that I didn't feel comfortable with him and wanted to request another driver. The operator was very helpful and sounded concerned and told me that she would put the claim in and someone would be calling me in the next hour to talk to me about it.

During this I had taped a note to my door asking creeper to please leave my package at the door. About 15 minutes after I hung up with UPS I see him walk up to my door. He knocks...waits...knocks again...waits (even with the note in front of his face) then he leaves the packages finally and walks away looking back at my door as many times as possible before leaving.

Then my phone rings. Expecting UPS to call I answer the phone ever though I didn't know the number. I say hello and I hear, "Hi Trinity! Its your UPS driver"

WHAT?!!!

He proceeds to ask me if it is ok that he left the packages at my door. UH YA! Thats why I left the note! Nice of him to ask...I guess. Either this guy goes above and beyond his job requirements or I should be more nervous that he not only has my number in his cell phone, but he's actually used it!

UPS never called.

Typical Wednesday

So one quality of mine that has gotten worse is my procrastination. I'm usually so tired that I just don't ever feel like accomplishing anything! I blame it on the baby :) So that is what brought me to Kohls today. My procrastination. You see my niece's birthday party is today and I still have not gotten her a gift. So Thomas and I went shopping. Now that he is walking he no longer enjoys being in his stroller. This makes browsing more of a chore then a favorite so we are usually in and out of places pretty quickly. The only thing that saved me today was food. (Thank you gold fish crackers!) Anytime he would start making any kind of whine I would pump him with more crackers. Its almost like a pacifier :) On a side note; I never noticed how close the clothes racks are sitting until I started pushing a stroller between them. It was like playing bumper cars. At one point some guy was walking through the isles pretty fast and saying goodbye to someone and not paying attention where he was going and tripped right over the front wheels of the stroller. Embarrassing for him, funny for me. No one was hurt. We found what we were looking for!!! Anyone looking to get some great kids clothes should go there. They are always offering great deals and they have the cutest stuff.

I had forgotten the face to my radio so I kept us entertained my singing "if your happy and you know it". We were stopped and a light and just as it turned green some lame-o decided that my lane was going to to faster so he started to come into my lane. I accelerated and LAID on my horn. You know what he did? He sped up, cut me off, and gave me a nice view of his middle finger. So many things I wanted to yell but now that I have a little one who is learning all his words from me I refrained. That was hard. But I continued to sing. We came up to the next light and do you know what this guy did? He opened his door, got out, and yelled something very angrily. hahahaha! I'm not sure what he said cause my window was up and I was still singing "if your happy and you know it". But I'm sure he didn't like the fact that I started laughing. hahaha! I thought I had road rage. This guy needed a valium.
We made it home, ate lunch and I even cleaned up the house. No procrastinating today! I'll save that for tomorrow ;)

Getting to know me

I saw this on one of my friends blogs, liked the idea and decided to do the same. Hope you enjoy.

1. A picture of you in your bedroom
This is a picture of the bedroom I grew up in. Its one of my birthdays I think. My memory is failing me at my old age :) It was about 10 years ago when I was till in high school. You can see the roses drying in my blinds (so classy). Notice all the visible pockets contain pagers. hehe.

2. A picture with someone you don't actually like
Its not that he is a bad person. Here's the story. I was kindly asked to leave my high school before graduation. In turn, I wasn't technically invite to my senior prom. Well, I asked this guy to take me so I could go, just as friends. But the whole after party he asked me over and over if he could kiss me. It was soooooo annoying. Plus he had the worst hair! He promised he would cut it for prom. LIAR!

3. Youngest photo of me
This photo is of me and my mom in my nursery in Kansas. I was 10 months old. This picture gives me warm fuzzys cause my mom looks so nurturing and happy. I love this picture.

4. A picture of me making a goofy face at the camera.
Its actually a little on the scary side. hahaha. It was a game night with some on the Glamour Shots girls and we were getting ready to play chubby bunny.

5. A picture that I edited to make me look better
What? Everybody does it!

6. A picture of me truly being myself
Yes, its how I feel about most people. At least I deliver the truth with a smile on my face :)

7. A picture of me being absolutely ridiculous
You try getting six girls in a photo booth and see what faces you make.

8. A picture of a time in your life you wish wasn't over
I've always said that if I could be any age for the rest of my life I would be 3. Plus I'm a huge daddy's girl. This sits on my dresser in a frame to this day and I smile every time I look at it.

9. A picture of a time in my life that I'm thankful is over
Moving to LA was a big culture shock. Most of the people I met had enough friends and didn't care to make any more. Pretty lonely when you move away from home alone. Here is the group of "friends" that so kindly pretended to care while we were in each others lives. After I left I never heard from a single one of them. Glad this period of my life only lasted 6 months! After that I made the most wonderful friends.

10. A picture of when I was a different person
This picture was taken in Cancun. Needless to say I had A LOT of crazy fun in my day. Now that I'm a wife, mommy and a member of the LDS church I've changed a little bit

11. A picture with someone I love
My hubby of course. The best thing about this picture is, it portrays our relationship perfectly :)

12. A picture of how I want the world to see me.
Goofy, stylish, fun loving, surrounded by friends and always up for a laugh.

13. A picture that makes your heart hurt
I grew up with this boy. Our parents worked together and they are great family friends of ours. Unfortunately he passed away when he was 17. He is still sorely missed.

14. A picture that makes your heart smile

My grandparents. The two most real people you will ever meet. And they are still in love after more then 60 years. AMAZING!

15. A picture when everything was changing

Our first family photo. Nothing like parenthood to take your life on a roller coaster ride. Wouldn't change a thing :)

16. On of the best days/nights of my life
The night Jeff proposed. I didn't know it at the time of this picture but it was a very memorable night.

A pregnant woman's journal

So I've just hit my 6 month of pregnancy and I've been feeling pretty good! I forgot how big everything can get when you're pregnant. It is so amazing what the body can do. I am lucky enough to be having a girl this time which is AWESOME! We've chosen a name for her. Its going to be Kahlia Marie. We aren't quite sure on the spelling yet but we both really like the name. It means beauty in Hawaiian. I'm getting so excited to meet her!! It's amazing how much a baby is loved even before it makes its appearance in the world. I can't wait to see what she looks like or what her little personality is going to be like. Hopefully she is sweet like Thomas :)

I must admit, when I first found out we were having another one I wished that I had, had more time with Thomas. That has really helped me treasure the quality time that him and I have. I try not to worry to much about cleaning the house and spend more time playing, rocking, teaching, singing and goofing around with him. Its also really important for me to try to teach him how to clean-up and listen to mom and dad. Those are things that are going to be VERY helpful once Kahlia is here. I know that having two kids under the ages of 18 months is going to be difficult and at times feel impossible. And I know that I will have my days that we all just cry together :) but I am blessed with an amazing family. They have been such a big help and have been such an active part in Thomas' life. I love them for that :) Plus once the kids get a little bit older they will have so much fun playing together. Thomas is going to be such a great big brother, I can already tell.

Just to give you a little update on Thomas: He will be 13 months on the 9th. We survived the first year and in fact, it went by too quick. This last month he has developed stranger anxiety. Thats not fun for anyone and hopefully it passes quickly. He is starting to try to talk. He trys to say ball, cat, up, and open. He understands A LOT of what we say. (All the important stuff anyway) I am so proud of him. Here is our recent favorite picture of him. He is such a goofball!!

The one with the creepy delivery guy

Yes the title explains it all. But allow me to explain why I feel so creeped out when I see his face through the peep hole. It has been a series of events leading up to this that has made me wonder if I should boycott UPS all together. I try to give him the benefit of the doubt or chalk it up to him just being friendly. Who knows. You tell me what you think after you've heard the story.

So my first encounter with Gus (not sure of his real name) was about 8 months ago when we ordered a big book shelf for our living room. I had been anticipating its arrival for an eternity. (about a week but I'm really impatient) When I saw the 2 UPS guys walking up to my door I was so excited. My son was sitting in his chair watching a Baby Einstein video when I answered the door. As soon as I opened it I said "YAY, I'm so excited! Come in." I think that was my first mistake. They walked about 3 feet in the apartment and put the book shelf down. The 2nd guy walked straight out the door and waited outside. Gus handed me the thing to sign. I handed it back to him and he just stood there. It was the most awkward couple of seconds in my life. I suddenly realized exactly how close he was standing to me and suddenly felt very uncomfortable and wanted him to leave. He tried to make conversation and I tried to be polite as possible while trying to position myself towards the door so he would get the hint. He walked out the door and STILL tried talking to me. I hardly ever run into any delivery person who isn't in such a hurry to get your signature and leave so I was a little weired out. But they left and I had my book shelf, so I was happy. I made a little comment to my husband that night about the awkwardness and didn't think about it again...until I got another package.

The next time I saw him he was delivering a package that weighed about 2 pounds. When I opened the door he automatically started to walk in to put it down. I stepped right in front of him and took the package and said thank you. All the while thinking, "ya right, I'm not making that mistake again!" Since then he just gives me the package or if it is too heavy I have him put it down and I slide it in the house. Then a few months later he delivered an AC unit (very heavy) which he brought up to the door on a dolly. Thank goodness my husband happened to be home so my husband picked it up and put it in the house. As if to show him who is stronger :) You gotta love how macho guys act and in this case it was pretty entertaining. But while hubby was putting the package to the side Gus poked his head in and looked at me. Was he looking for me? WEIRD!

A few months later I was in the laundry room, doing the obvious and I saw him come to my door. (Our apartment is 20 feet from the laundry room). He walks to the door of the laundry room and hands me the package. I sign and say thank you...and he just stands there. He asked who was having a party (the package was party supplies). I told him my son had a birthday coming up. He stood there and told me all about his family and who has birthdays that month blah, blah, blah. All the while I'm loading up the washing machine and saying things like "oh" and "cool". Finally after the awkward silence he said he'd see me later and left.

Since then I've only seen him one other time. The last package he delivered I was gone but my mother-in-law said he looked very dissappointed when she opened the door and he said, "Oh! I usually see a younger girl answer the door", and look inside.

But this last time was really strange. We ordered some diapers on Amazon. (Can't beat free shipping!) Now I know that UPS drivers will leave a package at the door if they feel like its safe and packages have been left at my door before. So when I saw him through the peep hole holding the box of diapers I stood there ever so quietly and just waited for him to leave them there. But he didn't leave he waited literally a full minute. Then he knocked again. I thought "are you kidding me?" So I stood there quietly and waited another full minute. I'M NOT HOME! LEAVE THE PACKAGE AND GO AWAY! But no. Instead he filled out a sticker to let me know that he stopped by and he'd be back tomorrow. REALLY?! For diapers? C'mon! Any other driver would have left them, I know it. My husband was home today to intercept the creepyness that is Gus but to our surprise (and relief) it was another driver. Who, by the way, knocked one time, set the diapers on the step and walked away, all before hubby could get to the door. HMMMMM?!

Any of you who have creepy delivery people come to you door, trust me, I feel your pain. Anyone who hasn't, consider yourself lucky then watch the movie Cable Guy :)

My creations

Since I have my little blog started I thought that I would go ahead a show off my creations. Its about the extent of my craftyness. Its also the first time making anything worth looking at using a sewing machine. If you are interested in owning one or would just like to give a great gift, go to my website and order one, or three :) I will post more in the next week and I will also have custom orders available soon too. That way you can tell me what color fabric and ribbon you want. If you have ANY suggestions on how I can make these better, please let me know!!!

Phew!

First of all this blog thing is very new to me. You may be asking yourself, "Trinity, why did you start a blog?" To which I would reply, "I have no idea." With myspace, facebook, twitter and all of the other ways to find out what I'm doing everysecond of the day, its a mystery why I would open another "window" for anyone to see in. The truth is, I started making these necklaces and got the genius idea to sell them online. I started looking up ways to advertize and *POOF* here I am.
I am actually very proud of myself. Not for starting a blog but for figuring out a blog name! Seriously! Everything has been taken. I sat there for...minutes trying to figure out something witty and clever and not yet used. Its hard. hahaha.
